Trees Atlanta is very involved in with the Atlanta BeltLine. We are actively recruiting for the second class of Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum Docents to begin training on Thursday mornings in April & May. We would like more representation from the Southwest Atlanta community.
We began planting the Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum with over 700 trees this past Autumn. This Spring, we will embark on planting more than 7 acres of native grass prairie and incorporating signage along the Eastside Trail, but the best way to communicate all of these exciting additions is through knowledgeable volunteers or Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum Docents.
During training, experts cover topics ranging from Atlanta BeltLine history & design to Arboretum horticulture collections. Ideal applicants have experience with plants, an eagerness to learn, and the energy to lead tours/projects in the Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum.
Please email Kate if you are interested, have any questions, or would like an application.
