Fulton County Seniors in East Point Can Exercise for Health and Fitness

The Fulton County Office of Aging and East Point NORC (Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities) in partnership with East Point First Mallalieu United Methodist Church and the East Point Housing Authority want seniors to get healthy and fit in 2012.     From January through June 2012, seniors and residents in South Fulton can take advantage of evening aerobic dance classes to achieve fitness and health at two locations:

East Point First Mallalieu United Methodist Church

Mallalieu Class Schedule

The 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 5pm – 6pm on the following dates:  January 5 & 19, February 2 & 16, March 1 & 15, April 5 & 19, May 3 & 17 and June 7 & 21

Martel Homes

1148 Calhoun Ave, East Point, GA 30344

Martel Homes Class Schedule

The 2nd & 4th Thursdays of the month from 4pm -5pmon the following class dates: January 12 & 26, February 9 & 23, March 8 & 22, April 12, & 26, May 10 & 24 and June 14 & 28

The classes are free and open to the public.  Registration is required and can be completed onsite at the first class or by telephone.  All participants must fill out a participation waiver form and must wear workout clothes and tennis shoes.  

Please drink plenty of water and talk to your doctor before joining the class.  To register or request more information on the classes, please call Leslie Bridges in the NORC Office at 404-762-2094.

There are only two classes at each location for each month but seniors are welcome to participate in all four classes during the month.
