Fulton County Seniors to Receive Assistance to Register for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program
Fulton County Seniors who are having problems paying energy bills can take advantage of early enrollment assistance for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Fulton County Senior Multipurpose Facilities will offer help during the month of November to those seniors registered with the facilities. Seniors who are not already registered with senior multipurpose facilities can take advantage of the enrollment assistance once they have registered with the senior facility that they visit.
Early Enrollment Period opens on November 1, 2011 for:
• Households where all members are age 65 and older
• Households age 65 and over with other members under age 18
• Any life threatening crisis regardless of age of household members. (proof of medical crisis required from doctor or hospital)
• Registered Participants at Fulton County Senior Multipurpose Facility may apply for LIHEAP at the locations listed below.
Seniors who apply must meet state income guidelines.
