Fulton County Workshop to Teach Seniors How to Prepare Tasty and Healthy Summer Meals
Fulton County and the East Point NORC (Naturally Occurring Retirement Community) are collaborating with Georgia State University Nutrition Students to teach seniors how to prepare tasty and healthy meals for the summer. NORC and the Georgia State students will host a workshop on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall of PTC Christian Church. The Church is located at 1706 Washington Road in East Point Georgia. PTC in East Point is one of three locations of Peachtree City Christian Church.
Workshop participants will enjoy a FREE three-course meal, which will include a beverage and free recipes to take home. All who wish to attend must RSVP to allow planners to provide an accurate number of servings. There will also be a chance to win a $10 gift certificate to a local grocery store.
