Island of Barbados Singer Malissa Alanna Secured For Atlanta Exchange Launch

Organizers of the Atlanta Business & Entertainment Exchange ("ABEX"), which launches on Wednesday February 8 at 595 North, announced that they have secured 16 year old Island of Barbados singer Malissa Alanna as headline performer.  She will travel to the United States with her management team for the Atlanta performance.

"It's done, we are thrilled, and Atlanta will be thrilled!" said John "J" Williams, Co-Founder of ABEX and CEO of J Entertainment ATL.  "Malissa Alanna occupies a niche that literally no one else on her island or perhaps in the Carribean resides.  She is a blue-eyed, blonde girl from Barbados who sings Country-Pop, the last genre of music one would expect from a Bajan artist.  Beyond that, Malissa Alanna has a very soulful and powerful voice far beyond her age."

Malissa Alanna's manager Mario Williams (no relation to John Williams) in a phone call confirmed that Malissa Alanna will be traveling to Atlanta for the ABEX launch.  He further stated that the Malissa Alanna management team was delighted to receive the call from the ABEX organizers, and has already received other calls from more events which could be announced as early as today.

Williams, who is also Vice President of Marketing and Casting for the upcoming reality series Who's America's Next Rap Star, stated that his ABEX Partner Daniel Fowler will release portions of authorized Malissa Alanna interviews recorded by his company American Technologies during a visit to Nashville, Tennesee in late 2011 where she recorded in the historic Sound Kitchen Studios.

Fowler stated, "It was a delight to visit Malissa Alanna at the Sound Kitchen Studios there.  Ira Blonder, the owner, made us all feel at home.  Artists from all musical genres record at the Sound Kitchen, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Sir Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, RUSH, Chicago, Michael W. Smith, Miley Cyrus, and Dolly Parton, to name just a few.  We witnessed an amazing singer taping in an amazing place."

ABEX Co-Founder Brian Poe, Esq. and his partner Michelle Simpson, Esq. of Poe Simpson Law also made the trip to Nashville to witness the Malissa Alanna tapings, along with Lawrence Fowler of American Technologies.  "We were blown away.  We were, and are, very much interested in representing her in the United States." stated Poe.

The Atlanta Business & Entertainment Exchange has a Facebook event page for RSVPs.  RSVPs can also be done via email at theatlantaexchange@gmail.com.

Malissa Alanna has a chance to go down as one of the greatest! This is a big blessing for Atlanta that she is choosing our stage as a launching pad. I am proud to be a part of the successful effort that is bringing Malissa Alanna to Atlanta.
