Resolute Spirit Athletics Gains Recognition and A New Home
Resolute Spirit Athletics (RSA), a cheerleading and dance program in Atlanta, GA, has become a community name in the Southwest area of Atlanta.
RSA would like to thank the Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA for graciously provided a well-equipped place for RSA to conduct their practices and classes for the past year. Through this partnership, RSA has reached out to the community by doing community service and being an active participant in the fight against obesity.
RSA offers competitive cheerleading and dance programs. We also offer tumbling classes for beginners.
"Our goal is to bring the sport of competitive cheerleading and dance to the youth of Atlanta,” Executive Director Nneka Porter, said. “Many families in the SWATS area cannot afford the cost related to traditional All-Star cheerleading and dance. This is where we come in."
Porter went on to say, "We have been able to acquire sponsorships for several of the young athletes." This was accomplished by reaching out to several US military servicemembers. Even though, these servicemembers are serving our nation, they find time to financial support the athletes of RSA.
"We started with just one cheerleader," said Porter. "We have now grown into two cheerleading teams, one dance team and three tumbling classes.
Because of this growth, RSA had to find a new home...their own home. Starting, May 1, 2012 RSA will relocate to its new home, affectionately dubbed the "House of Resolute". The House of Resolute is located at 800 Wendell Court, Suite C, Atlanta, GA.
Before moving to the House of Resolute, RSA will hold tryouts on April 28th at the YMCA.
