Kim Tumey Launches ATL C.E.O. Mixer With Support From Celebrities and Cascade Residents

ATL C.E.O. Mixer, entertainment rep Kim Tumey's new monthly entertainment and business networking event, will launch on Thursday, June 30th at Park Tavern.  Event organizers have confirmed that the R&B group Rude Boys ("Written All Over Your Face") will perform at the event.

Other featured guests who are confirmed to attend include reality TV star Dwight Eubanks (Bravo's "Real Housewives of Atlanta"), actress-comedian Cocoa Brown (Tyler Perry's new show "For Better or Worse"), makeup artist Khadija DeShong (Jennifer Hudson, Ashante, Regina King), and music producers B. Hood  (T.I., Shawty L, 8Ball & MJG, Baby aka "BirdMan") and Gamble (Trey Songz, Waka Flocka).

In addition to her traditional marketing team, Tumey has enlisted a few Cascade residents to spread the word of this event on a grassroots level through social media.  "When I first relocated from Dallas to Atlanta, I settled in the Cascades," stated Tumey.  "And I learned quickly that you cannot have a successful entertainment event in Atlanta if you do not involve people who live in the Cascade area."

Ogee Walker, a Cascade resident, is Nissan's new Internet Sales Manager, with his office based at Nissan's Lithia Springs location.  He is promoting the ATL C.E.O. Mixer and has confirmed guests through Facebook and Twitter.  "I know Kim and many of the other organizers, so it was easy for me to help out.  Now it looks like I may pick up an extra Nissan sale or two based on the projected turnout and celebrities in attendance."

Norman B. Smith, Jr., also a Cascade resident, is no stranger to entertainment promotions.   His father, long-time Cascade resident Norman B. Smith, Sr., is President-CEO of Kasper Entertainment, which promoted Rick James, George Clinton, BarKays, Roger & Zapp, and Gap Band, and currently promotes comedy shows, stage plays and music festival events including this year's August 13th Annual Flashback Festival at the LiveNation Amphitheater.   Norman B. Smith, Jr. is Vice President of Kasper Entertainment, and also an insurance broker and partner in an venture capital company.  "I think Kim has a great idea.  It's a good event for me to support, and also get the word out on things we have upcoming," said Smith.

Cascade resident James Witherspoon, Jr. sees the opportunity to promote his business Organo Gold and awareness of the product at the ATL C.E.O. Mixer.  He hopes to recruit more Organo Gold entrepreneurs at the event.  "I will have a table and a few of my team members with me.  We're all doing well with this business, and we want to spread our success," said Witherspoon.  "We believe Kim's forum is a perfect platform for us, and therefore we are helping her promote the event."

The sponsors of the event are:  Ms. Tumey of Kim Tumey Entertainment;  Attorney Brian D. Poe of Brian Poe & Associates, Attorneys, PC;  John Williams, CEO of J Entertainment ATL;  Marsha Middleton, Owner of the luxury P.R. firm M-Squared;  and Korey & Markesia Akinbami of the photography and multi-media company Visual Statements.

The event starts at 5:30 PM and ends at 10:30 PM.  The cost of admission of $10.00 will be collected at the door.   To RSVP, visit "ATL CEO Mixer" on Facebook.
