Byron Amos, a candidate in the runoff for the District 2 Atlanta School Board seat, was at the polls early today.
A community organizer and CEO of Capacity Builders in Vine City, Amos voted at Friendship Towers, 35 Northside Dr., shortly after the polls opened.
Front runner Angela Brown says she plans to vote around 2:30 p.m. today after some campaigning.
A graduate of Washington High School who also has worked in the hip-hop music industry, Amos came in second in a field of five in the November elections with 24 percent.
Amos' campaign headquarters is at 2001 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. For more on Amos see Meet Atlanta Public Schools District 2 School Board Candidate Byron Amos.
