Driver Killed In I-20/H.E. Holmes Accident
Police said the driver was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene.
A driver was killed early Saturday morning when his vehicle struck the barrier wall around I-20 east and H.E. Holmes.
"Around 6:20am today a vehicle traveling east on I-20 approaching H. E. Holmes left the roadway and struck the barrier wall," said Atlanta Police Department spokesman Officer John Chafee. "The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene."
Chafee said the accident is under investigation. The driver's name has not been released.
"No one else was in the vehicle other than the driver and this appears to be a single vehicle accident," Chafee added.
