Early Morning Smash & Grab at CVS on Cascade Rd.
A truck rammed into the front of CVS on Cascade Road early Tuesday morning.
CVS located in the 2200 block of Cascade Road is recovering this afternoon after a smash and grab attempt early Tuesday morning.
According to police, a pickup truck rammed into the front glass doors at the CVS, busting the windows and portions of the brick facade at about 6 a.m. The police were able to track down the vehicle used and a brief chase through the neighborhood ensued.
The police chase ended on Beecher Street near Cascade Road after striking a car. The driver of the truck, Sydarius Andrews, fled on foot, but is now in police custody. He has been charged with over 10 crimes and is currently in Fulton County Jail.
The CVS store manager and employees denied any comment on the the incident. The store is currently open, as crews work to fix the glass door and front entrance.
