Voters Approve Sunday Alcohol Sales, School SPLOSTS

Voters throughout metro Atlanta overwhelmingly approved Sunday alcohol sales on Tuesday, as well as school tax referendums in DeKalb and Fulton counties.
In the city of Chamblee and Sandy Springs, voters also appoved Sunday alcohol sales by resounding majorities.
Southwest Atlanta residents also sent Angela Brown and Byron Amos to a runoff in the race for the District 2 school board seat.
Here are the preliminary results for Tuesday's election:
Fulton School SPLOST:
Yes ... 64%
No .... 36%
DeKalb School SPLOST:
Yes ... 62%
No ... 39%
Atlanta Sunday alcohol sales:
Yes ... 82 percent
No .... 18 percent
Sandy Springs Sunday alcohol sales:
Yes ... 85%
No ..... 15%
Chamblee Sunday alcohol sales:
Yes ... 85%
No .....15%
APS District 2 Seat:
Byron Amos ………… 24%
Angela Brown ……… 38%
Dwanda Farmer …… 19%
Michael Jeter …………12%
Donald Walker ………..6%
