Fulton County Health Services Re-Opens Local Center Specifically for Children's Health
Oak Hill Child, Adolescent and Family Center located at 2805 Metropolitan Parkway is set to re-open.
Children and parents who live in Fulton County, and specifically in SW Atlanta, can breathe a little easier this Thursday after the re-opening of the Oak Hill Child, Adolescent and Family Center. Fulton County Health Services will be holding a Grand Opening celebration at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 7, 2013, to dedicate the newly renovated Oak Hill Child, Adolescent and Family Center
There are a number of questions about how to effectively address childhood disparities such as behavioral health issues, obesity, asthma, and literacy within our community. The 48,000 sq. ft. integrated health facility, Oak Hill, will focus on reducing health disparities among children and youth with an emphasis on childhood asthma, childhood obesity, early literacy (reading by third grade) and social emotional health.
The center boasts about having walking trails, a teaching kitchen to address childhood obesity, and even a gymnasium.
Cascade Patch will try to provide photos from the renovated building and give our readers a tour of the facility once it is opened.
