My sincere condolence to you and your family Rep. Lewis. Mrs Lewis was an outstanding woman who dedicated herself to many causes. Her work in Nigeria, in the peace corps, and serving as a delegate at the DNC, but most of all her encouragement for you to run for congress in 1977. Atlanta and DeKalb has been truly blessed to have the Lewis family to be so committed in serving our district. Our prayers go out to you during this difficult period.

I would like to add my sincere condolences to those of others. Mrs. Lewis' contribution to life equals that of her husband's and their long marriage speaks to love and partnership both.
Seth, you are quite frankly an ass.

Condolences to Rep. Lewis and family.
I wish the blogs on Patch were moderated to remove rude comments and attacks. The reason I enjoy Decatur Metro much more is because of the moderation. In fact, I think Patch would be better off if it consisted just of news and announcements without the comments.

Ours Prayers are with Rep John Lewis and the family.
Mrs. Lillian Miles Lewis was a wonderful woman. She made a difference in the lives of so many, especially, the least of these and her family. She answered the most urgent and persistent question in life, which is "What are you doing for others". Lillian served in the Peace Corps, and traveled far and wide to serve those who were in need. Lillian made a difference in her community and most of all; Lillian supported her husband to the best of her ability. Mrs. Lillian Mile Lewis rest in perfect peace, as you have run a good race, rest in peace until we meet again. The Lord will give Rep. John Lewis and the entire family the wisdom, and the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
