Georgia Department of Labor’s Office on MLK is Still Closed due to Water Damage
The Georgia Department of Labor’s South Metro Career Center, located at 2636-14 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. in Atlanta, will be closed again during the week of September 10th.
Update: The Georgia DOL office located on Martin Luther King is closed all week. The GDOL claims it will reopen on Friday, September 14th. The MLK office has been closed since August 20th.
The Georgia Department of Labor’s South Metro Career Center, located at 2636-14 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. in Atlanta, was closed Monday, Aug. 20, due to water damage and will be closed again on Tuesday. Staff members at the career center will be assigned to other GDOL locations. The center will be listed as "day-to-day" until he issue can be fixed, according to Wayne Mack of the GDOL.
John Ard, in the GDOL Communications office, says that the cause of the water damage was due to a water main bust.
GDOL will continue to provide services at other career centers. Other career centers in the metro Atlanta area include:
-Clayton Career Center at 2450 Mount Zion Parkway in Jonesboro;
-North Metro Career Center, 2943 North Druid Hills Rd. in Atlanta;
-DeKalb Career Center, 3879 Covington Highway, Decatur;
-Gwinnett Career Center, 2211 Beaver Ruin Road, Norcross; and
-Cobb-Cherokee Career Center, 465 Big Shanty Rd., Marietta.
