3) Closing weekend of David Johnson Photography:
Where/When: Hammonds House Museum, 503 Peeples Street, Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Event: This is the closing weekend of the . This photojournalist chronicled the life, times and culture of the 1940s and 1950s in the Filmore District of San Francisco, which was a vibrant black neighborhood. The Exhibition shows what his camera captured that included the great jazz scene, historical and political figures, artistry and joy of being black in the Filmore District.
