Southwest Parents to APS: Small Schools Over Closed Schools

Demographers hired by the Atlanta Public Schools presented the second round of redistricting maps to parents, stakeholders in SRT 1 and SRT 4-N.W. Tuesday night.

 

Several hundred parents, teachers and southwest Atlanta residents came out Tuesday night to hear Atlanta Public Schools demographers present their two new options and maps for redistricting the school system.

The forum for the schools feeding into and including Mays, Therrell, Washington and Douglass high schools—represented by SRT 1 and SRT 4-N.W.—was from 6:30 to 9:12 p.m. tonight., Jan. 31, at Young Middle School.
