Notice of Public Hearing on Changing Washington High's Small School Designation

The official Notice from Atlanta Public Schools is below. There are 2 dates scheduled and parents, staff, and concerned residents are urges to attend and make themselves part of the discussion.
APS Public Notice
The Atlanta Board of Education will hold two public hearings on February 23, 2013, at 11 a.m. and February 26, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. Atlanta Public Schools staff will discuss the transition of the Booker T. Washington School of Banking, Finance & Investment, and Booker T. Washington School of Health Sciences & Nutrition from its official designation as a small school to its proposed designation as a small learning community.
The proposed small learning community will continue to be located on the campus of Washington High School. The school zone will remain unchanged for students living in the Washington High School zone. Based on this year’s enrollment and next year’s projected enrollment, the Washington campus is expected to serve approximately 850 students.
The public will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide written or oral feedback on the proposed changes. All hearings will take place at Washington High School, located at 45 Whitehouse Drive, Atlanta, Georgia 30314. No vote will be taken at the hearings
