Obama "Champion of Change," Cascade Native to Blog for Patch
Kwanza Fisher, founder of Neighborhood Mathematica, will begin blogging for Cascade Patch later this month.
Cascade Heights native Kwanza Fisher—one of President Obama's 2011 Champions of Change Youth Entrepreneurs—will begin blogging for Cascade Patch later this month.
Fisher, who speaks Mandarin Chinese and has a B. A. in East Asian Studies from Wellesley College, will blog on many topics but she is an expert on urban education and the achievement gap.
A 2005 graduate of North Atlanta High School, Fisher is already an established community organizer and founder of Neighborhood Mathematica, a math education initiative for youth in the Atlanta area.
For more on Fisher, see her profile in the "About Us" section of Cascade Patch or visit her blog home at www.closethegapculture.blogspot.com.
