UPDATE: Police Investigating SW Atlanta Kidnapping, Assault

The alleged incident took place Saturday night.

The Atlanta Police Department is investigating a possible kidnapping and assault that occurred in southwest Atlanta late Saturday night.

Police were responding to a kidnapping call in the 2000 block of Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. "Apparently a victim from that location flagged down a motorists asking for help," said APD spokesman Curtis Davenport. "She advised that a male friend had been kidnapped, and the motorist called police."

Police arrived on the scene and found an open door. "We were approached by one of the victims who stated he had been bound with duct tape at the wrists and held against his will," Davenport said. The victim was a friend of the female victim that flagged down the motorist.

The victim told police that he, the female, and two other males were inside the home when at around 11 pm, when he opened the door and "willfully allowed four red-bandana-masked men into the home. The men were armed with pistols and AK47s," Davenport said.

Everyone was ordered to get on the floor face down, Davenport said. "The three victims were then duct taped bound and a bed sheet was placed over their heads. One victim was forced out of the home by three of the gunmen. The inside person and one gunman remained at the home and stayed with everyone else."

The victim is believed to be kidnapped and driven away in one of his two vehicles. "He owns a tan Ford Explorer - GA plate BJP5430 - and a black Ford F150 pickup," Davenport said. Both vehicles were possibly stolen during the incident.

Police also said it is possible the female victim may have been assaulted during the incident.
