I just left the Lowery Lecture Series at Therrell and it was phenomenal. What a vibrant, witty man at 90 years old. The students hung on his every word!

Joe, you have been at the vanguard of our future hopes for most of your life, never mincing words when plain speech was warranted,,thinking,acting,planning,living as Christ taught, with feet of clay we all can relate to, but so a heart of gold. I want to say, some of us were listening...some of us taught our children...some of us continue to tell our grandchildren...and we will never stop, and like my father before me, I will be telling the story even up until my last breath....because of the sacrifices you and many others made,when you could have chose a life of ease.
