Runner's World Features South Fulton Running Partners, Black Girls Run Atlanta

The Atlanta-based South Fulton Running Partners are featured in a comment-heavy, well-circulated December 2011 Runner's World report entitled "Why Is Running So White?"

The online version of the story includes the extended report on the topic while the hard-copy magazine shows several pictures of Partners running and enjoying good times together.

In addition to SFRP, the Runner's World story also features Black Girls RUN!, another group with a strong Atlanta base. Among those quoted from Atlanta are Sonya Jefferson and Tes Sobomehin.

Members of the South Fulton Running Partners comprise the oldest mostly-black recreational walking and running club in the country.

The Partners are active in several community sports and fitness events and are the race managers of the new annual Fulton County 5k and 10k and the annual Sickle Cell 7k Road Race at Welcome All Park.
