Campbellton Road: 8 year-old Girl Killed in Hit-and-Run
Police are searching for a dark colored car that struck a child Tuesday night
Atlanta Police Department is still actively investigating the death of an 8-year-old girl who was struck and killed by a driver Tuesday evening.
According to a Fox 5 report, Ja'leah Felix and her family were crossing Campebellton Road to go to Sandtown Park when a "dark colored" truck struck the little girl and did not stop.
Fox 5 has more details on this story, and has quoted the Atlanta police as saying, "We do not know at this time (if the driver knew he struck the girl). However, we are trying to find out any information about this vehicle."
Cascade Patch has put in a request for more information and we will update the story when we recieve it. For now our prayers are with the family and I hope that if anyone saw or heard anything last night, they come forward.

I'm horrified for this family and know the pain they're trying to endure. Hit and run drivers are just the lowest of the low in my book especially when they don't stop. Same happened to me and my family with my brother but this is worst since this is a little girl. If I could make one wish it will be for hit and run drivers to suffer the same pain of both victims and family and burn in hell for they're crimes. I'm truly sorry for this pain and lost you all are going through. My heart and tears might not be enough but I am so sorry you are going through this.

You're welcome. I know the hard road ahead too well. The pain subsides awhile but don't go away. We're at constant war with emotions that appear out no where. I will keep you and you're in my heart. Take care.
