Today we are celebrating the work of Jen Farris who is a publicist and an staunch supporter for African art and dance within the community.
I'm a publicist, journalist & project mgr who works to continuously
expose achievement in arts, culture and entertainment.
My passion is surrounding myself with organizations and individuals that seek to use the arts as a vehicle to make a tremendous impact on the lives of others, communities, and youth.
Jen Farris is the leader behind Zdennis Media group, "a boutique-sized public relations firm w/ large-sized results focused on projects that incorporate creativity, arts education, arts advocacy, or cultural exchange."
Ms. Farris is our "SW Friend of the week", this week because of the great Father's Day show she is promoting that will take place at Southwest Arts Center later today.
Within a 90-minute concert format, Giwayen Mata and special guests will adorn audiences with well-choreographed, high-energy drum, dance and spoken word vignettes that center around culture and traditions found in Mali, Senegal, Guinea, and Ivory Coast, West Africa.
Sharing this style of music, drum, and African culture is a work of love for Jen Farris, and we at CascadePatch are thankful to have her in the community and as a Patch contributor!
