Video: Harriet Tubman's Oldest Niece visits Greenbriar Mall for Tubman Day Proclamation

On Monday, the Atlanta City Council proclaimed Friday, July 6, 2012 as Harriet Ross Tubman Day in the City of Atlanta.   Descendants of Harriet Tubman were in Atlanta this weekend celebrating their family reunion.

Sights and Sounds Black Cultural Museum Exhibit at Greenbriar Mall (2841 Greenbriar Parkway Southwest Atlanta, GA 30331) hosted the Tubman family in the museum on July 6, 2012 from 11:00am-2:00pm.  

The Proclamation was read and presented to the oldest surviving relative of Mrs. Tubman, her Great Grand Niece Geraldine Copes Daniels.  members of the Tubman Family even performed a skit on the life of Mrs. Tubman.
