Zone 4 Commander Rodney Bryant, briefed NPU-T neighbors about the 2 recent murders that both occurred on S. Gordon Street in Southwest Atlanta.

Late last week the Atlanta Police Department released video of a person of interest.  The person was seen on camera driving in the victims stolen SUV, but the vehicle was discovered abandoned at a Midtown apartment complex just days later.

Officer Bryant tried to calm questions from residents in the area about whether the 2 crimes on South Gordon were related at all.  Bryant said that at this time there is no evidence that would show that the 2 were related, and in fact the one of the crimes (not the murder crime of Terry Porter) was committed by a family member and they have a warrant for the suspect.  Atlanta Police intend to release more details on Mr. Porter's murder as they become available.

Note:  The November NPU-T meeting was held outside this month because the key was unavailable to allow the participants inside their normal meeting room.
