Well, I tried and tried to get back on the radio. But to no avail. The problem is that I am not conservative enough for right side politics and not left leaning enough for liberal radio-if such a thing exists. So what do you do when no one wants you-you do it yourself. Cannot find a job-strat a business.
So my good friend, Tommy Bottoms—a former HBO Def Poet Jam poet and cultural critic—and I are doing our show every day Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can hear the show by going to www.shelleywyntershow.com or www.tommybottomsreport.com.
Our show will start today and will air live from The Green Room Actors Lounge located at 25 Bennett St. This is the new coffee shop owned by Actress Teri Vaughn and Roger Bobb from Tyler Perry Studios. There has been a lot of excitement about the show and we hope to bring the best guests and commentary from around the world. Listen out also for your favorite Cascade Patch contributors like Ray Metoyer as a regular guest.
Our first show will present a live debate with three of the four School Board Candidates running for the District 2 seat vacated by former board President Khaatim Sherrer El.
The show is not a left versus right type show. Tommy is no more a lefty ideologue than I am a righty ideologue. We are two observers of our society who have a clear and unique perspective on what is happening. We will disagree and we will agree however, it will definately make you go "hmmmm."
I hope you will listen and tell you friends. And for those of you who don't want to listen, you will still be able to read me here at www.cascade.patch.com.
For those who are able, please join us at The Green Room at 10 a.m. and meet Ms. Teri Vaughn, Roger Bobb and your District 2 APS School Board candidates.
