This is the end…but it's only the beginning.
2012, like every New Year, presents an opportunity to begin again. Tasks that have been put off can now be attacked with a new vigor. Old unfulfilled promises to self should be revisited. THIS IS YOUR TIME. What will you do with it? Will your resolution list be the same as last year and the year before at the end of 2012?
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? How bad do you want change? What will you do differently? These questions should all be considered prior to writing a resolution list.
You ARE writing a resolution list, right? You WILL consider what you want to accomplish in 2012, right? Achievement on any level begins with a plan. Proceeding without one is akin to setting sail in a boat without a rudder. The wind will blow you wherever it wants to and since you have no plan and no destination, you go willingly.
This bit of advice is particularly significant when it comes to fitness. All too often, people enter the gym or start some other fitness activity with the intention of getting in shape and sometimes fall short because they either do not have a plan or are not following the one they have.
The key components of a successful fat loss or performance improvement program include proper nutrition, strength training, interval cardio and steady state cardio. These components should be performed in the proper order and proportion to maximize results. Getting sound advice on what to do and when to do it can make all the difference.
