 th\, 2012 &nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;Camp Allegro\, a day camp for band and or
 chestra students\, is keying up for the fifth edition of its music camp.
 &nbsp\; Fulton County and Atlanta metro area elementary\, middle and hig
 h school music students who want to tune up their musical skills over th
 e summer can now register.&nbsp\; New this year are classes in singing a
 nd keyboarding along with instruction in world drumming\, music theory a
 nd jazz improvisation.\nCamp Allegro will host two sessions from 8:00am 
 to 4:30pm at the S. Fulton Instructional Technology Center\, (the old We
 stlake High School) 2370 Union Road SW\, Atlanta\, GA&nbsp\; 30331. &nbs
 p\;Students will need their own instruments &amp\; music stands.&nbsp\; 
 Limited instrument rentals are available from Camp Allegro or at Jackson
 &rsquo\;s Music stores.&nbsp\; Both Camp Allegro sessions will conclude 
 with the students performing a finale concert. &nbsp\;&nbsp\;Registratio

 ; Discover Your Musical Skills\,&rdquo\; June 11th through June 15th for
  beginning band and orchestra students in grades 3 through 5.&nbsp\; Beg
 inning students will receive instruction on his/her primary instrument e
 quivalent to 10 plus weeks of classroom instruction. &nbsp\;&nbsp\;Regis
 tration fees for beginners are $150 and include snacks and Camp Allegro 
 T-shirt.&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Camp Allegro is offering discounts and scholarshi
 ps as incentives for high achieving beginning students who receive free 
 and reduced lunch. &nbsp\;Scholarship deadline is also May 25th.\n&nbsp\
 ;&ldquo\;Strengthen &amp\; Stretch Your Musical Skills&rdquo\; for inter
 mediate and advanced band &amp\; orchestra students in grades 6 to 12.&n
 bsp\; In addition to studying his/her principal instrument\, middle and 
 high school students will receive instruction in music theory and ear tr
 aining\, audition preparation and jazz improvisation.&nbsp\; Registratio
 n fees for middle and high school students are&nbsp\; $225.00.\nCamp All
 egro is under the direction of Mr. Leon Daughrity\, a veteran music teac
 her and chair of the South County Band Department of Fulton County Schoo
 ls.&nbsp\;\n&ldquo\;With the continued cuts to elementary school band an
 d orchestra programs in metro Atlanta\, a summer music enrichment opport
 unity like Camp Allegro will be key to helping young students sharpen th
 eir musical craft and develop a lifelong appreciation of and participati
