DESCRIPTION:The MLK Holiday Commission of East Point will host its annual
  Martin Luther King\, Jr. Birthday Celebration on January 12-13\, 2013\,
  with the theme:&nbsp\; "Uniting&nbsp\;Communities Through Service\, As 
 We Celebrate the Dream". Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr's birthday is a day
  to honor a man who lived his life in service to others. On this day we 
 pay homage to his work toward racial equality and economic justice for &
 nbsp\; all\, his commitment to nonviolence\, and his stand against war a
 nd militarism. Commission events in East Point will include a youth empo
 werment workshop with sessions on drugs\, gangs\, bullying\, the judicia
 l system\, organized labor and creative writing Saturday\, January 12th.
  On Sunday\, January 13th\, an Ecumenical program of celebration will be
  held featuring keynote speaker Dr. Love Henry Whelchel\, professor of c
 hurch history at  Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta\, Ga
 . The MLK Ecumenical choir will also be &nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbs
 p\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; performing. Please contact
