More About Alfred "Tup" Holmes Golf Course
This golf course is named for Alfred "Tup" Holmes, a civil-rights activist who fought to integrate public golf courses during the 1950s. It is one of four 18-hole City of Atlanta golf courses and is operated by the American Golf Corporation (AGC). The course – located at Delowe and Wilson drives in the Adams Park neighborhood – is the site of a civil war battle. As part of a 2006 renovation, the city installed Champion Bermuda Greens on all 18 holes. According to the AGC website, this course's par-3 ninth is the signature hole – a 200-yard carry to an elevated green. To book a tee time visit the course website or e-mail reservations@americangolf.com. For more information about this course or others in the city, call 404-546-6745.
