Mayor Reed, Chief Turner and Councilman Martin Tear Down Blight Along MLK Dr.

Mayor Kasim Reed, joined Atlanta City Councilmember C.T. Martin, Atlanta Police Chief George N. Turner and APD Major C.J. Davis and community members for the demolition of two apartment buildings on Wednesday, October 16.

Mayor Reed held a series of public safety town hall meetings in which community members expressed concerns about blight in their neighborhoods. These demolitions uphold the city’s commitment to improving the quality of life for all Atlanta citizens and businesses. The two District 10 apartment complexes were located at 3762 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, S.W. and 3775 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, S.W..  Both properties are near the Adamsville neighborhoods.
