"It has been truly an honor to have been chosen as a featured attorney in the 25th Anniversary Edition of the Atlanta Tribune. In the past, the Atlanta Tribune has chosen an impressive list of lawyers to highlight and I am now humbled to be among them.

I would like to congratulate Mrs. Pat Lottier and her Atlanta Tribune staff for their leadership in covering the critical issues and opportunities facing Atlanta’s African-American community.  Thank you for your commitment to showcasing the wonderful things that are happening in Atlanta and for your dedicated service to the community."

He also is a former board director of the Atlanta Development Authority, which implements Atlanta's economic development initiatives. During his tenure, Mitchell brought his legal acumen and economic development experience to bear to conceptualize four of the city's ten Tax Allocation Districts and successfully authored and passed legislation to create them.

Mr. Mitchell is actively involved in a number of civic, legal and community organizations. He is a gubernatorial appointee to the Georgia Commission for Service and Volunteerism, a member of the Board of Visitors for Emory University, and a member of the Future Foundation Board of Directors (chaired by Attorney Eric Barnum). Mr. Mitchell is on the advisory board for Hands On Atlanta, where he is a past board chair, and currently serves on the local advisory board for Outward Bound Atlanta. Mr. Mitchell frequently speaks on panels and at seminars and appears regularly on radio, on television and in print media to discuss legal, public policy and community topics and initiatives.

Atlanta Tribune - The Magazine's feature on Attorney Mitchell states that former Atlanta Mayor Maynard H. Jackson, Jr. was Mitchell's inspiration for the path that he has chosen as a lawyer and public servant.  The article also cites the following individuals as his mentors: his brother David Mitchell, a banker and behind-the-scenes community leader; and three attorneys: Maxine Hicks Esq., partner at DLA Piper; Tom Sampson Sr., partner at Thomas, Kennedy, Sampson & Tompkins; and Judge Marvin S. Arrington Sr. of the Superior Court of Fulton County.

Attorney Brian Poe, who is Partner of the law firm Poe Simpson Law and Managing Partner of the national legal recruiting firm Esquire Connect, LLC, stated that his feature of Attorney Mitchell was his "most important" to date.  "Ceasar Mitchell has given so much to this city, and has worked with or been mentor by the best attorneys and public leaders any city can offer.  He is a modern-day Atlanta classic.  It is amazing that he is only in his early forties, with so much achieved and yet such a bright future ahead."

A native Southwest Atlantan, and the son of an Atlanta Police Officer and Atlanta Public Schools Teacher, Mitchell is a graduate of West Manor Elementary School, Benjamin E. Mays High School and Morehouse College.
