Dr. Dell Byrd Warmly received by L J Price Alumni!

Over the weekend things only became better for Dr. Dell Byrd's APS School Board Campaign in District 6.
Scores of Luther Judson Price alumni listened attentively as she shared the platform upon which she is running an ever-growing and powerful campaign. The room was filled with nods of approval and agreement as Byrd skillfully addressed the ills of the system along with solutions from the vantage point of an experienced educator. Many in attendance were former educators, administrators, local businesspersons and citizens of the metropolitan area. Most importantly, almost all of the attendees are grandparents of school-age children and have serious concerns about the future of education in the city schools.
Having "been in the trenches" as a certified curriculum specialist, Byrd has special insight into productive strategy for improving achievement within the classroom. She has already begun to structure plans for development of programs which will immediately begin to bridge the gap between low productivity and the level at which APS children should perform.
Another plus for the week involved an endorsement by the AFL-CIO. Employment is directly affected by the level of achievement and capability within the workforce. Improving local schools therefore is a major concern and vital to the health and future of the union itself.
There are "Byrd Sitings" all over metro Atlanta as she enthusiastically continues to convince individuals in portions of 30310, 30311, 30315, 30331 that she is ready, prepared and capable of working with others to get the job done!
