Freedom Denise Wright

This week, Freedom Denise Wright of Holy Innocents' Episcopal School is in Washington, D.C. for a Student Leadership Summit hosted by Bank of America. She is one of 225 community-minded high school juniors and seniors selected for Bank of America’s Student Leaders Program. Summit activities include a service learning project and a series of interactive workshops, including Capitol Hill briefings and sessions on financial education and leadership development skills. In addition to the Leadership Summit, Freedom received a paid eight-week summer internship at the East Lake Foundation.

 

Freedom will attend Syracuse University this fall. She was founder of her schools' Free Your Mind Backpack Drive and volunteers at the Atlanta Community Food Bank; the Atlanta Fulton County Library; Horizons Atlanta Enrichment Program and St. Francis Table; and Keep DeKalb Beautiful.
