MARTA Reschedules Adamsville Workforce Development Bus Operator Recruitment

MARTA has rescheduled Bus Operator Recruitment from Friday, January 31, 2014 to Friday, February 7, 2014, at Fulton County’s Adamsville Workforce Development Office.  The deadline for completion of customer service assessments has been moved to Wednesday, February 5, 2014. Adamsville is located at 3700 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, SW, Atlanta, GA 30331.  The office is open from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

Before visiting Adamsville, all applicants must take the following steps:

1. Visit the MARTA Website at WWW.ITSMARTA.com to create their profile under careers at MARTA and apply for the Bus Operator position
2. Complete the customer service assessment by Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at 12 p.m.
3. Notify Adamsville Workforce Development that they have completed the assessment by calling 404-613-6381
4. Only applicants that successfully pass the customer service assessment will be invited to attend the recruitment
5. On the day of the recruitment, MARTA will conduct the final testing.
6. Interviews will be scheduled for all candidates that pass the Bus Operator test

Applicants must meet the following Education/Experience Requirements

• Valid Georgia Class “B” CDL driver’s license or CDL permit with Passenger Endorsement.  If not, applicants may visit the DMV to test for the Passenger Endorsement.  Candidates must provide proof that they passed the test
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Required to pass all Pre-employment Screenings related to the Bus Operator position to include Customer Service test and Physical Exam, which includes drug and alcohol testing

Applicants who have taken all of the required steps before visiting the recruitment must bring the following items:

1. Valid Class “B” CDL driver’s license or CDL permit
2. An original 5-7-year Motor Vehicle Report
3. High School Diploma or Equivalent
4. Document verifying your eligibility to work in the U.S. (i.e. Birth Certificate or Social Security Car or US Passport)
5. A resume with a valid telephone number and e-mail address

Business attire is required to participate in the recruitment.
