Seniors Line Dance during Community Day at the HJC Bowden Senior Multipurpose Facility

Fulton County seniors practiced their line dancing skills during the first Fulton County Senior Multipurpose Facility Community Day celebration.  Community day is an annual event that is held in May of each year at the county’s four senior multipurpose facilities in observance of Older Americans Month. The HJC Bowden Senior Multipurpose facility also offered a tai chi demonstration, face painting for children, a basketball hoop for boys and girls to practice shooting hoops, mini-train rides for families, food and other entertainment.  Additional Community Days for seniors, their friends and families will be held at the following senior multipurpose facilities:

The year’s Older Americans Month events will focus on the theme of Safe Today, Healthy Tomorrow.  Events at the four facilities will also include Arts and Culture activities, Safety and Health events and Mother’s Day programs.
