SFBC partners with MAE Corporate Network to bring business networking to South Fulton

For Immediate Release

SOUTH FULTON, GA.-The South Fulton Business Coalition and the MAE Corporate Network have a theme in common, ‘a brand new business experience and a new level of professionalism.’  The organizations are bringing business networking back to South Fulton via various chapters in the community.  The SFBC has already partnered with the Camp Creek Business Association for them to host a chapter for that corridor.

“Our group is a different group whereas we focus on business issues, public policy, community matters and more,” Dominique Huff, Executive Director of SFBC said.  “We know that business owners and entrepreneurs need time to network and make serious connections.  The MAE Corporate Network allows us to provide that forum for them to network, connect and get empowered.”

Established in 2002 by Miko A. Evans of the MAE Corporation USA, he wants current and new business owners to enjoy what he had back during his startup days in business.

“During that time in the early 1990’s in my startup days of entrepreneurship, networking appeared to be more about making sound connections with potential clients and customers.  In addition, you could also seek out potential collaborators and partners,” he explained.  “Nowadays, depending on which event you attend and what time of day it is, it seems to be more about a party, a personal social call and being part of a clique.”

The MAE Corporate Network seeks to bring businesses, entrepreneurs and investors together to share resources, contract opportunities, provide entrepreneurial support and establish new relationships.  It also supports new startups, single entrepreneurs, sole proprietors, business owners, consultants and freelance artists by providing emergency assistance and special programs to keep their businesses, dreams and ideas alive.

“No serious full time entrepreneur should ever have to consider going back to Corporate America to keep their doors open on their business and to cover personal expenses,” he said.  “We are providing the tools, mentoring, coaching and resources to keep you full time in the business so you can work on and in the business.”

The SFBC proposes establishing chapters in Cascade, Fulton Industrial, Downtown East Point, Downtown College Park, Roosevelt Highway, Hapeville, Old National and Union City.  The MAE Corporate Network leaves plenty of creative control in the hands of the chapter.  Meeting schedules, dates, times and agendas are based on the needs of the chapter.  Some chapters could meet weekly and others could meet monthly.

“Business Owners and entrepreneurs in South Fulton should not have to go to Gwinnett, North Fulton, Intown Atlanta and beyond just to meet other entrepreneurs,” Huff said.  “We want to see more business to business transactions here in South Fulton and we want South Fulton businesses doing business with each other first.”

Evans equally excited about the partnership concurred with Huff on the business conditions of South Fulton.

“It always seems like the Southern region of Atlanta is always the last to get any support or resources.  Our network was designed to target areas where there is very little to no business networking and resources,” he said.  “This partnership is going to take both organizations to levels unknown and I am excited about it.”
