Atlanta Mayor's Office Wants to Award You Money to Love Your Block and Beautify Your Neighborhood

The Love Your You Block campaign launched last year, giving neighborhoods the chance to apply for small grants to beautify public local lands.

Amy Phuong, who serves as the Chief Service Officer at the Mayor's office, attended the latest NPU-T meeting and informed residents about the Love Your Block campaign that offers up to $1000 to local organizations that want to beautify their neighborhood.

The application deadline is January 8th.  Residents can apply via their respective NPU or Neighborhood Association, or the I Am Atlanta website.

“The City of Atlanta has a strong tradition of service and community involvement, and I am confident that the launch of our new Cities of Service plan will lead to even more volunteerism and civic engagement,” Mayor Reed said.

Note: The November meeting was held outside in the evening, because someone misplaced the door key to the usual meeting location.
