Dear Cascade Patch,

My son, Ted Hobbs, recently completed and presented his Eagle Scout project to his beneficiary, Hammonds House Museum. It is quite an accomplishment and partnership amongst the organizations involved.

Hammonds House Museum, located in Historic West End, and Boy Scout Troup 232 based at Northwest Presbyterian Church celebrated the dedication of four benches crafted by Eagle Scout candidate and Pace Academy student Ted Hobbs commemorating the contributions of African American artists from the Museum’s collection.

Hobbs, who has been a Troop member for 5 years, spent the past 4 months on site review, planning, project approval, and construction. At the dedication Sunday, April 21 Fulton County Commissioner  Joan Garner presented Hobbs with a Certificate of Recognition.
