COYOTE SINGS

Why Go:  This is the last weekend to catch Magical Moonshine Theatre’s English/Spanish retelling of Native American folk tales at the Center for Puppetry Arts.  

Pricing: $16, includes admission to museum, performance and puppet making workshop.  (On Saturday, the first Saturday of the month, Fulton county residents are eligible for free admission to the museum and an all-inclusive ticket for a performance and workshop at a 25% discount.)

ALL THINGS VANILLA

When/Where: Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the .

Why Go: No registration is required for this drop-in family class featuring the flavor vanilla! Children will work with vanilla play dough, dissect a vanilla bean and make a vanilla sundae. You (and children) will learn about the wonderful vanilla orchid.  

Pricing:  $6 per child plus Garden Admission.  $5 per child for members.

ATLANTA FAIR  

When/Where:  The Fair opens on Friday evening at 5:00pm and runs through April 3rd at Turner Field.

Why Go:  From the Duck Pond and Carousel to the Sky Wheel and Sea Ray, there’s a ride for everyone in the family.  Corn Dogs and Funnel Cake anyone?

Pricing:  Gate Admission is $1.00 for children under 12 years old, $3.00 for children and adults 12 years and older, and children under 2 years old free.  Ride tickets are $1.00 per ticket with most rides taking 2 to 5 tickets per person.  Special ride ticket packs and arm bands are also available.

FIRST ANNUAL ZOO ATLANTA MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY

When/Where: Saturday and Sunday from 9:30am to 4:30pm at .

Why Go: Local and out-of-state active, reserved and retired military personnel and families can enjoy keeper talks, animal shows, and the kids craft area (including face painting, animal encounters and crafts.)

Pricing: FREE admission for military personnel (ID required) and $10.00 admission for each of their family members and friends.  
* Saturday is also Educator Appreciation Day.  Educators are admitted free and each of their guests receive $2.00 off of admission.  Visit the Educators Lounge between 10:00am and 3:00pm to met with staff and pick up a coupon for 10% off food and gift shop purchases. (Educators must present proof of employment at check-in.)

CYCLORAMA TOUR

When/Where: Presented every hour on the half-hour, Saturday 9:15am to 4:30pm, .

Why Go: The perfect compliment to your Grant Park Walking Tour or visit to Zoo Atlanta for Military Appreciation Day. The Cyclorama painting, depicting the Battle of Atlanta, is 42 feet tall and 358 feet in circumference and the world’s largest oil painting.  The tour includes a 14 minute film.

Pricing:  Adults (13-64) $10.00, Seniors (65 and up) $8.00, Children (4-12 years) $8.00, Children (3 and under) Free.

VIBE 2011

When/Where: Saturday from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the

Why Go: Atlanta dancers representing cultures from all over the world will come together for this performance benefiting Project Alamb and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
