Lowest Gas Prices in Greater Cascade Area Tuesday

Like motorists across the country, southwest Atlanta drivers are cringing at the pump as rising gas prices continue to climb amid tension in Libya and The Middle East. 

The average price for regular gas in Georgia was $3.48 per gallon on Monday, according to the AAA Auto Club South's daily fuel gauge report.

The national average price per gallon is up 8 cents to $3.58 a gallon from last Tuesday, according to the site. That compares to an average of $2.72 about a year ago.

Prices range from $3.39 to $3.99 a gallon for regular gas in gas stations in and around southwest Atlanta and much of South Fulton, according to www.georgiagasprices.com.

Here are five of the lowest gas Cascade Patch found in southwest Atlanta and in the greater Sandtown area, as reported by motorists on Georgia Gas Prices in the past 24 hours:

$3.39 at Shell, 4336 Fulton Industrial Blvd SW, near I-20 Exit 49.

$3.39 at Quick Trip,5705 Fulton Ind Bvd., near Camp Creek Pkwy.

 $3.39 at Marathon, 4410 Roosevelt Hwy., at S. Cook Road.

 $3.45 at Chevron, 3040 Headland Dr SW & Greenbriar Pkwy.

$3.45 Express Zone, 374 Cleveland Ave SW, near I-75 Exit 241.
