Telephone Operators

Georgia Public Broadcasting

Volunteer Need: answer calls and take pledges from GPB viewers and listeners during the GPB’s television membership campaign in March or radio membership campaign in April. GPB volunteers will receive a catered meal provided by Carole Parks Catering Company, free parking and training!

Grant Writer

Volunteer Need: a skilled, successful grantwriter to research and write grants for Local, State, Federal and Foundation funding

Georgia Games Championship Volunteers

Georgia Sports Foundation

Volunteer Need: Five volunteers to help with the operation of the Georgia Olympic Championships Shotgun Events in Shooting Trap & Skeet on Saturday, July 14, 2013 at Tom Lowe Shooting Range at 3070 Merk Road Southwest.

How Often: July 14

 

Children’s Nutrition Education and Physical Activity Expo

The Center Helping Obesity in Children End Successfully, Inc. (CHOICES)

Volunteer Need: Volunteers are needed in various capacities to help with the Eighth Annual Children's Nutrition Education and Physical Activity Expo at the Adamsville Recreation Center at 3201 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW.

When: Saturday, March 16, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

Mentor a Teen at Fulton Juvenile Court- men especially needed

YES!Atlanta Inc., Fulton County Juvenile Court Building, 395 Pryor Street SW, 30312

Volunteer Need: help your assigned youth partner do better in school while reducing or eliminating self-defeating behavior

How Often: This is a serious commitment for about a year. You will meet with your Committed Partner from 5 to 7 PM on Monday or Tuesday afternoons, then write a brief report on your encounter.
