Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Returns to Atlanta and the Fabulous Fox Theatre
Various events are scheduled for the local community and area youth, such as a reunion for AileyCamp Atlanta, Ailey's summer program for middle-school students.
Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater returns to the fabulous Fox Theatre in 2013 for five exhilarating performances from Thursday, February 14 through Sunday, February 17. As always, Southwest Atlanta residents will be happy to enjoy the show and look forward to the revolutionary choreography and breathtaking performances.
In his second year at the helm as Artistic Director, Robert Battle will continue to surprise and delight audiences as he expands his vision for the Company with a thrilling array of premieres, new productions and returning favorites that will showcase Ailey’s phenomenal dancers. The exciting Atlanta premieres and the return of Alvin Ailey’s beloved classic, Revelations, are sure to inspire and entertain every member of your family.
Battle’s inaugural season received wide critical acclaim and delighted audiences around the world, launching an exciting new era. He looks forward to building Ailey’s cherished legacy in Atlanta using dance in a moving celebration of the African-American heritage and the human spirit.

Ailey’s engagement kicks off on Valentine’s Day, offering a memorable evening for you and that special someone. The Saturday matinee will be followed by a post-performance Q&A with the dancers and a buy one and get one at 50 percent off ticket offer.
All show dates and times are as follows: Thursday, Feb. 14 at 8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15 at 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16 at 2 and 8 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. Various events are scheduled for the local community and area youth, such as a reunion for AileyCamp Atlanta, Ailey’s summer program for middle-school students and a young people’s performance, on Thursday, February 14 at 10:30 a.m.
