WE-TV Filming 'Braxton Family Values' Tonight at ATL C.E.O. Mixer

The popular reality show is filing portions of an episode at the book signing of southwest Atlanta-raised author Andre Carter, husband of Towanda Braxton.

Braxton Family Values, the popular WE-TV reality show, will film Wednesday night at Kim Tumey's ATL C.E.O. Mixer at the Aurum Lounge, 915 Peachtree St., in downtown Atlanta.

The mixer, 6 to 10:30 p.m., will feature the book signing of southwest Atlanta-raised author Andre Carter, a 1980 graduate of Woodward Academy in College Park and husband of Towanda Braxton. Both are featured on the show.

According to a news release from Tumey, the event also will feature appearances by Evelyn Braxton, mother of Toni and Towanda Braxton, and JL King, the New York Times best-selling authored twice featured on Oprah, as well as Inside Edition and CNN.

ATL C.EO. Mixer debuted last month with great turnout at Atlanta's Park Tavern which included a performance by the R&B group Rude Boys ("Written All Over Your Face), as well as appearances by actor Quinton Aaron ("The Blind Side"), actor Michael Jai White ("Tyson"), comedian Cocoa Brown (Tyler Perry's "For Better or For Worse"), and industry executives Denise Hendricks (Producer of the "Mo'Nique Show") and Freddy Cameron (CEO- & President of the Georgia Entertainment Association).

Tumey's co-sponsors for ATL C.E.O. Mixer are Attorney Brian Poe of Brian Poe & Associates, Attorneys, PC, and John Williams of J Entertainment.

Last month's event was bolstered by the participation of several vendors, including Cascade vendor reps Norman B. Smith, Jr., Ogee Walker (Nissan's Internet Sales Manager), and James Witherspoon (Organo Gold). Tumey expects their participation in the event again.

Carter states that this event provides the "perfect platform" for promotion of his book.

The price of the event is $15.00. Guests should RSVP through various "ATL C.E.O." event pages on Facebook. Walk ups are welcome to attend.
