Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Atlanta Alumnae Chapter School Daze Dance Fundraiser

The Atlanta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., will host “School Daze,” a dance to support its scholarship fund and other public service projects.  The event will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012, from 8pm to midnight at the Cascade Club, 2890 Continental Colony Parkway, Atlanta, GA (formerly the Omega House).  Tickets are $35.00 and the event is open to the public.

This event will be an exciting and entertaining night of fun, old school/new school music, complimentary Hors D’oeuvres and prizes.  Attire is college or high school paraphernalia, no sorority or fraternity paraphernalia preferred. The college with the most representatives in attendance will receive a special gift. 

“School Daze” is being organized by the sorority’s Fundraising Committee, chaired by Dr. Nettie Perry.

Founded in 1913, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., is a non-profit organization with more than 250,000 initiated members who have provided assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. The Atlanta Alumnae Chapter, under the leadership of its president Camille Smith Zeigler, continues to be a dynamic and vital force in the development and implementation of outstanding public service programs and projects, which have benefited the Atlanta community. The chapter supports the needs of high school seniors with annual scholarships. In 2011, the chapter was the top fundraising team in Georgia for the 19th Annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s, raising more than $20,000 to help find a cure for this disease that affects nearly 5.4 million Americans.
