SWOOM Market Project is having a great summer and it’s about to get better.  On Thursday, August 2nd, SWOOM transforms the farmers’ market into a happy hour, “Thursday Soiree”.  We will have all the market favorites: 

Fresh produce the Odom Farm

Haylene the Garden Queen will bring her heavenly Sorel elixir (she grows the hibiscus flowers)

Lonni Byrd, a vegan caterer specializing in African, Caribbean, and Soul Food cuisine.

Fresh produce from Wanzu the herb doctor

SWOOM pulls out the stops for the Thursday Soiree.  A DJ will provide a vibe not to be forgotten.

Invited Food Wizards will cook everything from samosa to fish tapas.

Yoga and Tai Chi demonstrations; everyone can join.

Thursday Soiree progresses SWOOM’s mission to create a culture of health in the community.  Since 2008 when SWOOM opened its first farmers’ market, we have collaborated with like minded organizations and sought out the essentials for a healthy mind, body and spirit.  The current market is in association with Next Steps Youth Entrepreneur Program.
