Filmmaker Spike Lee Signals 'School Daze 2' May Come to a Theater Near You Soon

Spike Lee looks to remake his iconic film, School Daze.

It has been over 20 years since one of Spike Lee's first hit movies, School Daze, was released and enjoyed by millions.  The award-winning filmmaker told reporters that a School Daze 2 is in the works and that he hopes it will be coming to audiences soon.

The first film, released in 1988, quickly became an iconic movie about college life at an historically black school.  The film was based on some of Spike Lee's own experiences while attending Morehouse College in the early 80's.

Spike Lee says that he has a, "script for a modern day School Daze that is the bomb." School Daze 2 will likely showcase what it is like to be at Morehouse going to school now in the second decade of 21st century.

The buzz is only starting to build, but we hope the film will get made soon and once again show-off life on our AUC campus, both the good and bad aspects.
