Hair Extensions 101: All About Hair Extensions

There are a variety of methods to applying extensions to the hair.  Hair extensions can give you luxurious hair while adding length, volume, texture or color.

In this series of Hair Extensions 101, we will discuss the Net Weaving technique.

Net Weaving offers styling versatility that most other techniques cannot camouflage.  With this method, it's not only good for styling; it's also a very healthy option for your scalp and hair. Since the extensions are applied to the netting and not the hair, your hair is protected under the netting. (There is a range of available alternate extension methods, including braiding by row that we will discuss in a future column).

If you want a net weave, it is important to make sure your hair stylist is familiar with different hair extension techniques and has worked with all types of hair textures, thin, medium, or thick.

Based on your hair texture and the correct technique of application, these factors will help determine how long the extensions will last.
