Patch Clips: Atlanta Jazz Festival Draws Thousands to Piedmont Park

Piedmont Park once again hosted a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend Jazz Festival.

The 36th Annual Jazz Festival has once again come to a close, but not before thousands of attendees flooded into Piedmont Park to enjoy three days of music, food, vendors, and more.

Before the festival Camille Russell Love, Director of the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs said that, “music lovers are in for some incredible performances," and she was 100% correct.

On Saturday the three headliners were Alexandra Jackson (Maynard Jackson's youngest daughter),  Meshell Ndegeocello and Ambrose Akinmusire Quintet.  On Sunday, the program featured Gretchen Parlato and Tia Fuller.  The final night was filled with performances from Julie Dexter, The Dominick Farinacci Group, and José James. These were just some of the major headliners, and no where near the full list of acts this year.
