Ujima Celebration Wednesday at Shrine of The Black Madonna

Atlantans are invited to celebrate Ujima—the 3rd day of Kwanzaa—on Wednesday at The Shrine of the Black Madonna.

The Hammonds House Museum, The Shrine of the Black Madonna and West End Center for the Performing Arts will host a free community celebration of Ujima at 7 p.m. Wed., at The Shrine, 960 Ralph David Abernathy.

The event is in recognition of Ujima, one of the "Nguzo Saba," or seven principles of Kwanzaa. This day, the 3rd day of Kwanzaa, celebrates collective work and responsibility.

It will include storytellers, dancers, live music, drummers, audience participation, food and art vendors.
